Central Standard Time - USA.  If the message box on the top of the home page indicates that I am traveling, please call my cell phone: (337) 292 - 6154.

If you are a potential customer and wish to receive e-mail notification of catalog updates, please send an e-mail.  Please let me know your specific interests, igneous rocks, mineralogy, mining, railroads, etc.

We number our catalogs with respect to the current time of the year. For example, a catalog identified as [ 2 / Geomorphology / 2009 ] means it is the second quarterly catalog of geomorphology for 2007.  Each update every catalog at multiple times during the year as items are sold and new items are added.  I update catalogs on an irregular basis.

While visiting this website, if you find a page with wide gaps where information should appear, but does not using your browser, please send me an email and I will fix the problem immediately.  It involves color definitions and has become a problem with especially one browser.

Items which have been listed for several weeks or months or longer are shown in black.

Rare items are shown in green.

Most items are one-of-a-kind and are sold on a first come, first serve basis.  All orders are shipped promptly, usually with 24 hours to locations everywhere in the world.  Credit card purchases will be shipped immediately upon verification of your credit information.  I will store your shipping and credit information so it will not be necessary to send that information again.  Please let me know of any updates to your e-mail address, shipping address, or credit information to avoid problems later.

I have been in business at this location for 35 years.  I have studied geology and collected rocks since for most of my life.  During the 1970's, I developed an interest in the history of mining and the exploration for new ore deposits.  I have collected ore samples, mineral specimens, rare and out-of-print books on historical mining sites for over 25 years.  Beginning in May, 2004 this company became a full-time operation.  I am a retired University Professor and am now prepared to offer you the finest geology books, select minerals and ore specimens, and research grade fossils available on the market at reasonable prices.  All books are divided into their own specific catalogs for a more enjoyable experience.  I don't believe in having you read through a list of paleontology books if you are trying to find a particular petrology books, etc.

My personal  research interests are the mining history of the Western United States.  I am currently writing comprehensive books on the history of mines and town sites in each of the Western States of the United States.  If you have a similar interest or if you have pictures, mine records, data, pictures, or letters concerning any of the mines in the Western U.S. and are willing to share or swap information, I would like to hear from you.  Please send me an e-mail or give me a phone call.
