I, Melvin Schmidt, owner of MS Book and Mineral Company, have been collecting this mine information for almost 40 years.  I hope you are interested in collecting mining history information also. You may have had family members who worked at or owned a mine that you would like to have more information about. You may have purchased or have leased property and need help finding information about the mines past ownership, mineralogy, geology, or something else about the mine.  This option is already active now.   I am here to help you. While a whole book about a mine is great, I prefer data (details) without pages of chatter. As you can tell, this is not a typical "catalog" for this website.  I am not selling anything here.  Well, maybe, sometimes.  This part of my website is to locate all the history, geology, and mining details from the early American West. 	Here is a list of mines for which I have some information (data).  One feature I have not mentioned yet will come a little later.  That is collecting ore samples from all these mines. Please note:  This is new.  I estimate it will take me months of typing just to complete this page with all the mine information I have found.  I promised you on the news link on the home page of this website to have this mine claim section started before the end of 2025.  So here we go......I have other book and mineral obligations to attend to at the same time. Listings below are by 1) state, 2) county and 3) name of the mine, group, claim, deposit, mining company, corporation, or prospect.  When you contact me, we can settle which of these is the correct term for a specific location.  I can't list everything I have for these mines, because this page would be more than a 10,000 pages long.   Find a location listed below (or several of them) for which you are interested in finding more information.  Send me an email with your name asking for what information you would like about that location:  owner, date, number and names of claims, what mineralization was found, etc.  I will respond asap with the information if I have it.  I will use the 30 minute rule below. I don't need your physical address unless you decide to purchase a book or something. If you don't find a location on the list below that you are interested in, send me an email with your name and the location name, the county and state to the email above and what information you would like to have for that mine.  I will try to find some information on your mine for 30 minutes for free.  If I find enough information to make it worth my time to continue, I will contact you with what I am finding and what the charge for additional work would be to continue the search.  If I find some good information on the internet, or in my files, I will let you know.  Whenever possible, I will give you an internet address where you can get that information for free.  Maybe we can help each other also.  You may have a claim map or some other item that you would swap for my time.  No one will get rich with this project. But we will learn lots of history and/or geology and/or mineralogy.  If you have claim information hopefully it will be readable.  I have found some Arizona claim paperwork that has been photocopied so many times that it is not readable.  Some of these are import though. It have spent up to 2 hours to decipher a single page of information to restore it to a useable condition.
